2024 Houston Derecho and Hurricane Beryl are two recent instances in which I regretted not having backup power and had to rely on the hospital for electricity and water. Living in an apartment, it’s not feasible to install something like a Powerwall with solar panels. Instead, I purchased the Anker SOLIX F3800 to serve as an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) in my office.

As you can see from my list, I do not have a lot of gyne surgeries, aside from C-Sections! Those are my least favorite surgeries. HA!

I want my brain to generate ideas – not to remember things I thought of on a whim and might forget. With increasing responsibilities as an academician, I’ve found that combining Apple Notes with Things 3 creates a powerful system to keep me organized and productive. They also offer seamless synchronization across all my productivity devices, don’t get into any subscription payment model, and provide minimal friction between thinking of an idea and logging it.
