The visiting alumni included Karen Retzner, Joan Burton, Marty Perkins, Wendy Ross and Lorraine Woodard, all of whom graduated from the radiography program back in 1973. Retzner, who helped organize the event, is currently a practicing nurse in Indianapolis but kept her radiography licensing active until last year.
Through trials, tribulations and personal tragedy, she continued to earn her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration, and finally her Nursing associate degree. Here’s her story: “My path to success began with a strong desire to become a nurse. Sadly, my husband passed away a month later and I had to drop out.
